Spaghetti Dinner Results and Thank you
With over 350 tickets sold, 270 people in attendance, and approximately $3,500 raised to support the Charles Family Defense Fund – to say the spaghetti dinner was a tremendous success would be an understatement.
On behalf of Canadians for Lucene Charles and the Charles family please accept our sincere gratitude for your personal support. It meant the world to us all.
“Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

Update 4/12/2012
With a sold out spaghetti dinner (Whoot! Whoot! Thank you all so much!) and upcoming dance being planned- we wanted to make sure you all know how deeply we appreciate your support. We also wanted you to know that at this time, as much as any other, your support matters. Ultimately, it is not over yet. Lucene and Ajohke are going through the Federal Court process, and their application for Permanent Residency on Humanitarian & Compassionate grounds is being processed. Your support is helping Lucene get the very best legal representation in this process, but we also need your continued support to keep her story in front of Jason Kenney. Emails and phone calls to his office on her behalf still have impact! Let Kenney’s office know that our Canada includes Lucene and Ajohke! Again, to you all… THANK YOU!
